Pain disorders: These are conditions where individuals experience sexual pain. One of the disorders in this category is Dyspareunia.

Causes of Sexual Dysfunctions

Sexual dysfunctions can be caused by physical, psychological and lifestyle factors, or a combination of these. Here are some common causes:

Physical Causes: Conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, neurological disorders, hormonal imbalances, chronic diseases, alcoholism, substance abuse, and certain medications can lead to sexual dysfunctions.

Psychological Causes: Stress, anxiety, depression, guilt, low self-esteem, or trauma like sexual abuse can all contribute to sexual dysfunctions.

Lifestyle Factors: Unhealthy habits like excessive alcohol consumption, substance abuse, or a sedentary lifestyle can also lead to sexual dysfunctions.
